The Short Commute

There are inestimable reasons to covet working at home over commuting on a daily basis. For starters, most people who take this propitious highway are either tired of the commute or tired of the atmosphere of where they work. Then, there are those who are self-motivated loners who revel in the challenge of working quietly in a personal space called-home.

Ironically you can own a multi-million dollar industry, based solely out of your corner home-office space in this day and age. With the prospects of mass marketing, electronic payments and social connections, it is more advantageous to work out of the home then ever before. Most transactions can be done via: computer/fax/virtual merchant/ and cell phone. There are even mobile electronic forms of payment available to the motorist minded entrepreneur, to make closing the deal a quicker form of payment-opposed to direct billing.

Conversely, this isn’t necessarily the right fit for everyone. It requires a certain level of consistent dedication and an extremely strong level of accountability. If you are not that type of person, then you should forgo any thoughts of quitting your day job.

Many people love the concept of the freedom that a home-based business offers. However they are quickly drawn in by the conveniences of home and the familiarity of their evening routine of watching TV and lounging about the house.

Years ago I was taken in by this same scenario. I had an antiques and crafting business and all the while I was working and concentrating faithfully on my business; I was frequently distracted by friends, business acquaintances and ect., who thought that since I worked at home, I was readily available for coffee, errands, and constant phone companionship. I found myself frustrated and irritated to the point of buying into the urges of freeing myself up at the drop of a hat. Those instant urges were abruptly squashed when I found myself staying up all night to accomplish what I should have been doing throughout the day. It was a live and learn experience and fortunately I had the fortitude to firmly say no to drop by coffee requests and I quickly learned how to screen incoming phones calls due to a little technology called caller ID.

Rather your business is computer based, home-inventory based or a home-baked cookie or catering business; it is rewarding to know that you are in control of your own destiny, your own schedule and your own income potential.

Success can rate high among home-start-up businesses. One clear and apparent aspect of that is the low overhead of working out of your home. Then there are the tax deductions that are allowed toward a home-based business.

Even if you are initially starting your business on a part-time basis the benefits of freeing yourself up from a work-place driven atmosphere can be the driving force behind inventing a new business and a new you.

With a little knowledge and lot of passion a prosperous home-based business can be a whole new way of life, that allows you to many rewards and years of enjoyment.

You may be your own worst enemy or your own best asset in regards to affiliate success. To be a Super Affiliate, you have to think and mimic the characteristics of Super Affiliates. If you are not yet a Super Affiliate, then there is no time like the present to change your mindset from mere mediocrity to straight-lined determination. Here are a few key rules to the game of affiliate marketing:

Always Hold Your Affiliate(s) With Highest Regard

The golden rule: you are what you represent. The sooner you realize, that any product or form of marketing that generates revenue in your own pocket - is in fact advantageous to treat as your own business; the sooner you can retreat to your own affiliate corner. The rewards are always apparent, if you approach everything that you do as a firm and structured business model. Take time to build your assets, focusing and organizing your business to become a fully functional and profitable business. Find a way to reduce your overheads and costs without affecting your profit. Treat your affiliate marketing as a real business and you will find it worth your time your money and your effort, be it a short-term or long term.

Approach Your Business With Full Commitment
This may seem basic and elementary, but in all fairness, it is exactly what it appears to be on the surface: a commitment to develop and build a business from the ground up. You must have that inert desire to commit to go back to the basics, and be willing to learn through trial and error. The title of Super affiliate is there for the taking if you mirror the greats and dig your heals in the dirt and say to yourself that , “the road may wind in many different directions, but as long as you have a compass, you have nothing to complain about.” The Super Affiliates are your compass to a highway of success, don’t be shy about following them. If you are going to invest in the time that it takes to research and build your own web based business; then by all means, make it count. Just like in sports the only thing that really counts is scoring. If you are not in it to win it then you will find yourself backing out of the game.
